I think I can help with this.. there are two ways for a manufacturer to wire the stepper terminals.
CTC / RB Step motor has Coil A on Pins 1+4 and Coil B on Pin 3+6 some stepper wire to 1-3 and 4-6. To fix this you will need to swap pins 3 and 4 in the wire plug.
I bought a new extruder, it did not work with original wiring. but I noticed a cable came with the new motor, and the colour order was slightly differnt.. this was the reason.
